The Art of Studio Nude Photography Masterclass is a hands on workshop aimed at providing photographers a greater understanding of the principles of artistic nude photography focusing on lighting the nude form artistically as well as defining the various genres of nude photography, etiquette, posing and other pertinent topics. 


  • Defining Artistic Nude Photography – the difference between the nude styles.

  • Models – Sourcing models and model etiquette.

  • Posing and Composition – Implied nudes, flattering poses, using body shape and working with the lighting.

  • Lighting The Human Form – Using artificial lighting in a studio environment to enhance the naked figure. 

  • Location Nudes – Finding your location, quality and quantity of light, getting the right model for your location.

  • Equipment – Lens choice, angle of view, specialist equipment.

Emphasis will be placed on as much shooting time as possible and comprehensive notes will be sent out after the event via Dropbox link due to the size of the file. These notes include lighting diagrams and images relating to the topics covered in the workshop and much more.

Located in Brisbane, Australia, Cam is an award winning photographer with over 25 years experience and is regarded by his peers as one of Australia’s foremost exponents of artistic nude photography. He has a passion for capturing the beauty of the human form in both the studio or natural environment.Cam is an accredited member and a Master of Photography with the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP).

Although is he best known for his fine-art nude photography, Cam is highly skilled at all forms of people photography. He was awarded the title of QLD AIPP Fashion Photographer of the Year in 2016 and in 2013 Cam was awarded as the RAW Australia Photographer of the Year! This is fabulous recognition for Cam’s artistic nude photography and adds to his previous achievements such as being awarded the 2012 Creative Asia Landscape Photographer of the Year and the 2008 Queensland AIPP Portrait Photographer of the Year.
